Explore Santa Pola with us

Santa Pola is a small coastal town slightly smaller than the city of Torrevieja. Despite its size, the town offers all the amenities one could wish for in a small coastal village. In Santa Pola, life revolves around fishing and salt extraction. The presence of salt lakes (salinas) contributes to the delightful and healthy climate, complemented by the sea and the mild sea breeze. The landscape is beautifully diverse with mountains and long sand dunes.

Santa Pola boasts a market hall with a wide variety of goods, and on Saturdays and Mondays, there is a large market in the square featuring vegetables, fruits, clothing, shoes, leather goods, and more. The town offers extensive promenades along its beaches, surrounded by many excellent restaurants and bars. There are also trails for cycling and jogging. The beaches are long and beautiful, with crystal-clear water, and are well-maintained.

Beaches: Santa Pola has six beaches spanning 12 km, with Playa del Varadero being the first encountered when coming from Gran Alacant, followed by Calas de Santiago Bernabeu, Playa de Levante, the marina in Santa Pola, Gran Playa, Playa Lisa, and Playa del Tamarit. These beaches feature Red Cross facilities, lifeguard towers, and are cleaned every night, earning them the Blue Flag environmental award. Playa de Levante, located just before the aquarium when coming from Gran Alacant, is a 425-meter-long sandy beach with rental sunbeds, umbrellas, and pedal boats. It also has a volleyball net and restaurants for those looking for more than just relaxation. The marina in Santa Pola has 234 berths and 195 parking spaces. Along the marina, there are several restaurants and bars to enjoy. The longest beach in Santa Pola is Gran Playa at 1084 meters, offering numerous dining options. Playa Lisa, the second-longest at 553 meters, has darker sand, numerous restaurants, bars, and a windsurfing school. Tamarit Beach also has darker sand, along with bars, restaurants, and tourist shops. Carabassi Beach features golden sand and has been awarded the Blue Flag. Amenities include a lifeguard, flag warnings, toilets, foot showers, and a snack bar with parasol and sunbed rentals. Activities such as volleyball, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and kayak rentals are also available here.
